I'll leave the anti-Limewire rant to the end.

First off - WMP is not a location (logical or otherwise); you don't send or transfer songs there. It's a program that will play any media accessible to your computer, whether in a folder on your HD or in a removable drive like a flashcard. Just open up WMP, hit alt-f, choose "open file" and browse the folder that contains your LW downloads. Select the files you want to burn and hit enter.

When it comes to iPods, I strongly suggest that you use iTunes. Tou add songs to iTunes, simply drag and drop from the limewire folder and drop them into the iTunes window.

Now then...You need to seriously get rid of LW; it's a horrible cybersecurity risk. Your HD may already be fatally compromised by malware that came with. The LW network is nothing to write home about, infested by users who are leeches (don;t share, only download from others) and fake files. There are alternatives:

...go to sites like beemp3.com, but there's no way to be certain that you won't pick up malicious code or download a virus when you click on one of those weird links. And there's no guarantee that the links won't be broken, or that somebody has posted those songs there.

...install file-sharing software like Limewire. Instead of Limewire, try winmx or eMule - make sure that you have checked the sites out first, or go to download.com or sourceforge.

...borrow CD's from your friends or the library (or buy them cheap on eBay), and rip using winamp or media player.

...find the song on a site that streams audio (like LastFM) or video (youtube) and simply use a program that records streaming audio (audacity) and saves it as an mp3 file.
