How far is West Palm Beach from Miami to hop on cruise traveling on a budget?

I plan to go on a cruise in June...I live in nyc and pinching my pennies lol...well a certain airlines does not have Miami Florida as a stop, they have West Palm beach as a stop,but the prices is so cheap!...is there some type of transportation I can take from West Palm Beach in order to get to Miami in order to catch the cruise ship?
 
its about an 1 hr 20 min ride.
The best way to get from wpm to miami would be renting a car for like $30 and take I-95 all the way to miami which to take the cruise would be exit 4 or so...wpm is exit 70 +
