How Long Can PS2 Run without Overheating?

I have the original older model of the ps2 (with a 40gb ram mod). How long can I leave it run without it overheating and damaging the unit? I was going to use it to run a DVD all day long as part of an installation art exhibit. Im not sure if it will be turned off at the end of each day or left to run 24/7. Anyone have experience with this?

well i left mine on all day and night once and it didt not mess up.....
