How long do I charge a 12 cell group of NiMH Batteries?

I have just had a large remote control boat constructed which will run on a group of 12 NiMH batteries. I have bought a charger pack for it but am unsure of what voltage to charge them at in order for it to be safe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
