How long, in inches, is a DVD case?

Does anyone know, or can measure for me if it's not too much trouble?
I need to know because I don't have a ruler and I need to use something. It doesn't have to be a precise measurement, the centimeters can be rounded off.
 
Take a piece of 8.5 by 11 inch paper and fold it in half. Measure for youself.
