How long should I fry a chicken sausage for to ensure its cooked all the way through?

I don't have a thermometer. Its about a half lb sausage. I usually cook on medium heat and do it for 12 minutes total, 3 mins on each side. Any advice? Thank you!
 
Maybe a bit more than 12 minutes, closer to 20 minutes total. You can slice it in the middle to make sure the juice runs clear like regular chicken.
 
That would be about right.depending on the thickness and length, both measurement needed to be more accurate.
A long slender one will cook more quickly than a shorter fatter one.
 
The only way out of your dilemna is to cut a slit with a knife and see if you are satisfied it is done or not. If you overcook it it will still be good but it will be dry.
