I don't have a thermometer. Its about a half lb sausage. I usually cook on medium heat and do it for 12 minutes total, 3 mins on each side. Any advice? Thank you!
That would be about right.depending on the thickness and length, both measurement needed to be more accurate.
A long slender one will cook more quickly than a shorter fatter one.
The only way out of your dilemna is to cut a slit with a knife and see if you are satisfied it is done or not. If you overcook it it will still be good but it will be dry.
