How long till I can drive other people with my license?

Im 16, getting my license in 5 days. How long do I have to wait till i can drive my friends around without parents or adults in the car with me?

What are the consequences for driving my friends without a parent supervising?
Im in california
 
you can drive alone when you get your license in most states. but if you get caught they can take our license away till your 18
 
Which state do you live in? Because it differs for all states. I know that in Ohio you have to be 17 to drive more than 1 non-family member around. If you drive with more than 1, you can face big fines, get a misdemeanor, have your license suspended, and get into a lot of crap that honestly you don't want.
