How much does it cost for a sports bike compared to a car?

Ok, so I can't afford a car most likely and I'm 17 I need something thats cheap and can be affordable with insurance. I want to know how much its costs for insurance for both a car and street bike. Also how much would I have to pay every month for the bike??? My parents wont let me get my car license until I get a job.... which I find completely stupid because I've been looking for jobs all over the place and it seems basically impossible. But even when I do get a job I would want to see if a bike would be more reasonable then a car. Suggestions? Please no rude comments. Thanks!
Also what kinda of street bike would be good???

my little girl just got a new Kawasaki Ninja 600, it is an 09' but still in the box and it ran about $6000.00 and her payments are around $125.00 a month. she got the lighter bike because she had never ridden before as the driver and this is a small and light bike fo beginners.

You can spend anywhere from $2K to 10K for a sport bike depending on which one you buy. If your dad can put you on his policy as a "Part Time" driver and only insure the bike as basic req. for the state you live in. It would be cheap insurance. Could cost $300. a year for insurance.


You will need to pay cash for the bike and not finance it to get cheapest insurance. Does not cover your bike if you crash, but covers other's you may hit in the process.
