How much money do I need to spend for a good audio system in my car?

I have a Jeep gran cherokee with stock infinity gold everything except a new headunit I just installed. I am looking to get 6 new speakers, replace the current amp with a power amp, and get 2 subs in the back. Any suggestions would be appriciated. I dont really know what Im doing so anything would help.

It would help if I knew what type of head unit you had.....Pre-outs how many? Sub control?
