how much will it cost for nissan quest 2008 to change for brakes?

because my husband went to nissan ozone for just change oil and tune up then they told my husband for change of brakes, so in other words $600 for change oil and tune up and another $500 for the brakes, and we dont even used much of our nissan quest 2008 just only 2 year old car ,11k, my God it's so expensive...did they gave us a too much price for that...or they just need money.....?
 
Sounds like neither of you know much about cars. You should not have needed a tune-up for many more miles. As far as brakes, unless you are extremely hard on them , they too should have lasted a lot longer than 11,000 miles.
