well, it all depends on your body, weight height, etc. if you want to gain muscle for every pound you weigh have on gram of protien. ex. if you weigh 130lbs.-130 grams protein. you also burn fat quicker if you are a bit heavier, so it all really depends on what you eat. have a diet plan say you eat 3,000 calories a day try to workout to were you burn more than 3000 the entire day and you are garanteed to lose weight, stay fit, and gain muscle
if you do this you will have pretty quick results.
Hope it Helps and good luck!!

I've been using an exercise bike every single day, religiously. How soon can I expect to see results?

Originally, I was biking for 20 minutes and burning approximately 80-100 calories.

Due to pushing myself, now I bike 40 minutes and burn approximately 190-210 calories in that time. There are days where I can't quite get 40 minutes (I have a disability) but I always do at least 20, and I'd say 5 days a week minimum I can get the 40 minutes out.

How soon can I expect to see my legs trim up a bit and get some muscle definition?
I'm trying to lose weight AND tone up. I realize the weight loss must come first.

I'm only eating 1500 calories per day. I'm 5'2" 145lbs. I need to lose 20lbs.
