How to burn my files after creating with DVD Flick?

Okay, so.... to be honest, I will just be as upfront with you as possible -- the fact that I have even gotten THIS far trying to do something "tech savvy" is nothing short of a miracle in itself lol.

I'm not very great when it comes to this sort of stuff, so please, I would dearly appreciate some help! I am trying to make a DVD for my friend, and came across DVD Flick. Awesome program, makes it all simple... or so I thought!

I created my file easily enough, it's just that now I have no idea what to do with it. How do I put this sucker on to a disk now that it exists?

What I have is a DVD+R disk that has more than enough memory for the 30m. video I plan to put on it. I TRIED dragging and dropping it to the CD icon and plopped that sucker in to my DVD player, but it tells me "bad disk". I am very certain that this is because I am missing something.

Please help?

And please, try not to fly jargon at me as it will be all Greek to my ears. :)

Many thanks.
