how to charge / program old Motorola Razr?

when i charge it, it tells me to connect to my computer to program,
and when i connect it to my computer, it tells me to charge it before i can program it..
is there any way to just charge it, since when i try it won't charge until it's programmed?

try to find a different motorola phone and use that one to charge your battery, hope that helps
