How to connect an ipod to a 2006 VW golf?

I have a 2006 VW Golf with a monsoon sound system I bought second hand. The previous owner had installed a satellite radio, but I would rather not pay for that service and instead integrate my iPod. I don't mind controlling it from the actual iPod, but I don't want to spend a bunch of money. There's a hookup for a CD changer in the trunk. I don't want to use FM modulators or cassette adapters... I'm all about sound quality!

Does it have an aux input? I'd use that. If not there's really not a whole lot else you can do but use an FM modulator, get a new head-unit. Good luck!
