How to convince my parents to get a cell phone?

Ok, my name is Dan. im in grade 6 and NO JOKES EVERYONE HAS A CELL PHONE. like my friend, his parents would never get him a cell phone and he got it. Everyday i see my friends texting in class and im so tempted to get one but i dont want to screw up. My brother hes in grade like 12 i think and he got one in grade 9, but its worth a shot. So waht shuld i say to my parents?
 
I didn't get a cell phone until I was 18 and I bought it myself.
so I will never condone children getting cell phones.
