How to deal with husband traveling for work ?

So my husband leaves for about a week or two at a time then comes home for 2 days then has to leave again. I'm having a really tough time with it we've been together 5 years married 1 and I'm so used to always having him next to me. I'm not sure how to deal with it, I don't work due to medical problems so I'm always just stuck at home. Any ideas on how to keep sane? Thanks in aadvance! : )

i just pick up hobies. i've been married 4 years and we're in the military and there are deployments and travel. i know he would never cheat. we talk on the phone alot and i just paint, or knit or watch movies. also my dogs help. OHH!!! GET A PUPPY!!! lol

I have a good friend who's husband has to travel a lot like this too. She doesn't go with him ALL the time but about once a month she does - then it isn't too much for HIM and it helps keep them connected and close. Really makes a difference for their relationship and marriage. It is completely understandable that you would feel like this too.....

Awe that sucks. Do you have webcams? Maybe you two can communicate in the evenings while he isn't busy? At least an hour every night? That would suck! Is there anyway you can travel with him every now and then?
Try going to the local recreation center join some classes they are really inexpensive there and you can meet other women.

call him everyday. and when he is home make the best of it. also while hes away have some girlfriends over and just do things to keep yourself busy and your mind off of it.
