How to get rid of the add pop ups on my computer?

My internet explorer will not even be up and I will have like 10 pop ups all of adds on my computer. How do I stop this?

Do NOT install pop-up blockers... they only mask the problem.

your problem is you have "malware" you your system (ie: virus/trojan/and/or spyware)

Get Malware Bytes Anti-Malware (free) from http://www.malwarebytes.com

install it and run it. It should be able to detect and clean (again, for free) anything on your system causing popups.)
