I also have to rewire everything, and i don't know if that's easy enough for me to do on my own, but im not sure how hard that task would be. I basically want to do as much as i can on my own and whatever i cant do ill pay a professional for. How should i lay the amps out..one amp is for my 4 door speakers and the other is a mono for my sub.

for car specs i have 97 infiniti i30 sedan

Go to crutchfield.com they have a tutorial on how to do this no one can explain it better than the professionals thats my suggestion

My first suggestion is to get involved on the i30 forums, there will be a large amount of information available for you to pick through. I own a G35 myself. I am not sure if the i30 has the same type of door molex's as the G35, hopefully not because that lengthened my install for me. Outside of that, it will be pretty straight forward install.
Pull stereo, pull door panels, run speaker wires for interior speakers(12 gauge), install interior speakers, run the interior speaker wires near the 4 channel amp and label them with masking tape (for reference to which speaker the wires run to), remove battery negative terminal, install dual amp wiring kit, wire sub to enclosure with speaker wire (12 gauge at a minimum), run all of your rca wires from amps to stereo, run your remote wire to the red 12v switched power wire for the stereo. Just remember, take your time and it will come out fine. If it takes you all weekend, then so be it. Take your time and install your equipment properly.
