Hello im looking to make a mobile usb charger where i can hook to AA batterys up to a female usb and use it to charge ipods etc. I just need to clarify if what i say is correct or not before i go out and buy the parts. So i know i need 2 AA batterys a case for them aswell as a switch and a voltage regulator 5V aswell as a female usb the thing i dont know is do i connect the 2 AA batterys 2 the 5v regulator (can the regulator up the voltage from 3V to 5.2V) or will i need to get a transformer. Also how could i make it so that i know its safe to use like make a LED that goes on when the voltage is 5V and the ampage is good, also will i need something to regulate the amperage
