How to play a torrent game?

So I downloaded Doom3 as a rar. file and I tried using demonoid to open it but i'm not having any luck. This is my first time trying this. Any suggestions??? Is rar. the correct type of file? and if not how do i convert it to iso or the correct type. Demoniod says im missing a disk when I try to open it.

First use an unrar program, like winrar or bitzipper. Then, use Daemon Tools lite (or full if you like) to mount the iso on a virtual drive. Next, install the game by running the virtual drive. You can unmount if you like.
