How to play .avi file with subtitles in Smartmovie 4.15(Symbian)?

it rather depends on the file itself, most avi files DON'T have subtitles (they are usually deleted when the movie is compressed to avi format), but some do. i'm not sure of a way to check if the movie has subtitles, but you could check it on a computer

I have Nokia 5230 and I want to play .avi files with subtitles. I use smart movie and I know that it supports subtitle but I'm unable to play the file with subtitle. I've subtitles in .srt file.

Use a binder to incorporate the .srt file into .avi file or else the srt subtitles will get deleted when you play the avi file.
