How to play video using pendrive in dvd?

i have some videos copy to pendrive but not play dvd player another i will convert to mpag 4, MOV format but not play video in dvd. How to play videos using pendrive. please tell me some idea share with me.
 
convert the video in xvid format or .dat format, it will work surely
