how to reset the check break pad light on Opel Astra?

hi, my bf has an Opel Astra and he had the break pad discs skimmed recently when he had the car serviced. The light remains on in the dashboard display and he wants to know how he can get it to go away

Does anybody know how he can "reset" the on-board pc?

You mean he had the Discs skimmed and the brake pads replaced?
Did they replace the brake pad warning sensor wires? if these are not replaced (they normally snap when being removed) then the warning light will stay present.
