How to stop my dog peeing when he's excited?

Whenever a guest comes over he's so happy and excited that he pees himself, usually all over my guests feet. Even when myself or my parter come home he does it. He's only a small dog but it's so embarrassing and we don't know how to prevent him from doing it. Any tips?

I doubt if you can stop it. It's a pack behavior. Usually this means that the dog is showing that it is subordinate to the person it is interacting with.

I experienced this problem with my german shepherd when she was really young,what I done was when people came in or any of my family came home we would ignore her don't look at her don't speak to her then once she has calmed down then speak to her.It worked for me,worth giving it a try.

I had a BIG dog that did this and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Eventually I had to keep the dog away when guests came over becaues even if he had just gone out, the flood gate would open and it is embarrassing for you and disgusting for the people getting peed on.
