I feel really stupid asking this but I'm looking for some much needed hunting advice. I have always been more into fishing but am now starting to show interest in hunting. I have only gone once (duck/goose) but would like to get into deer, wild turkey, wild boar, etc. However, I need some advice on what gear I would need that works with my body type. I am a petite girl (5' 1" about 110 lbs) and a college student so I don't want to spend too much money since I'm only a beginner. Just basic but decent quality equipment would be nice. Also, I'm located in the North Eastern Ohio region. Thanks for your time and suggestions!

You need to start small, and that is good that you did. First find all licenses, rules and regulation about hunting in the area you are planning to hunt in. This usually available on the state/county web site. If you went fishing, then you probably have some idea about clothing to wear. Skip the cotton.
As for weapon gear, first select what you want to hunt and again, what are the rules and regulations. Some places allow to hunt certain game only with specific type of weapon and limited magazine size.
Based on that you can select, are you lean more to archery or to firearm. From there you can figure out equipment you need. There are lots of web sites and youtube hunting training materials as well as hands on training classes available. You may check NRA Women, and your local Rifle and Pistol association or local Archery groups. They usually have a lot of information about this subject. There are some clubs and groups available in every state, city or county. Search them on the internet. Contact them. They will be glad to help you.
