I am looking for some feedback about the idea of stay at home dads. Your thoughts...?

My husband and I are tossing the idea around for him to stay home with our two young boys rather than returning to work and putting them in daycare. I have a good job and make enough money to support the family. The boys love the idea and I think it would be good for them since they are boys and they would get more time with their dad - plus they wouldn't be stuck in daycare all day.

Are there any stay at home dads out there that can give me some feedback? Good, bad, indifferent? Our family is very open and non-conventional.
