I can't pass this flying mission in GTA:San Andreas for PS2? *Verdant Meadows*?

I know how to fly now,{I'm badass,Lol,JP} I'm stuck on the 'Circlying Aircraft' mission. Where you have to fly the plane and press R2 & L2 to turn. What is it called? I can't remember,Lol. Anyways,I know how to fly a plane now,And I can turn,I can do everything properly,Except the highest I've achieved while doing the mission is getting to 40%. What the hell am I doing wrong? I'm not crashing,stopping,etc. Although I have had a little trouble getting into the 'coronas',But I end up flying into them eventually. So,How do you pass it?
