I dropped my phone in the toilet, it's a verizon phone. It was probably in there for about 10 seconds or less, because I was literally in shock that it fell in the toilet and I didn't know what to do, haha, but then I pulled it out and dried it with paper towels (I was in the restroom at the movie theatures, by the way) then I drove home and put the battery and the rest of the phone in seperate plastic bags full of raw rice. I just barely put it in there. But here's my question, I DON'T have a memory card for the phone, and I'm worried that I'll lose all my notes and text messages I had saved in my phone. Will the rice help? And if not, I have an EXTRA battery that I could use for the same exact phone, but if I put THAT battery inside my phone, in place of the one that's wet, will the memory completely change? And is there anything else I could do? I'm so worried. How long should I leave my phone in the rice, and is there a chance it could be saved? Please, ONLY answer if you've had a similar situation, WITH a verizon phone, or if you are experienced. it would even help if you worked at or knew someone who worked at verizon. Please help, I'm so stressed out. I'm even worried that I'll lose all my text messages inside my inbox.
My friend told me that on the battery, there's a little water proof card thingy (I forgot what it's called) but she told me that someone from verizon told her that if it's still colored, there's a chance it could be saved. and if it turns white or something, then it can't be saved. well the thing is purple right now.
