computor or device manager.? ive tryed looking in the bios and the device manager and the spot for the cd/dvd drive isnt even there. ive looked the problem up and it said to delete the upper and lower filters but there was none to delete. any tips or help someone can offer?

Go to HP.com and reinstall device drivers. If you type in computer model # it will tell you what drive you need.
