...cable, why ? I even bought HDMI cords and have that hooked up too, however, there are AV1, AV2, AV3, HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3, and side HDMI and Hookups which are currently my hook up for my WII system. I have perfect surround when going to DVD. However, when I switch back to Cable, I have no sound in conjunction with the cable box... Someone electronic Savy please help me.. I'm super annoyed

You are going to need to connect an optical cable from your tv to the home theater in a box. You have connection to the tv from the cable box and nothing going to the home theater. The optical cable will provide you a surround sound signal from the tv to the home theater if the tv program is encoded with the Dolby Digital. Keep in mind that most tv programs are only in stereo. Hope this will help you out.

well stacey the thing is, the dvd player WILL be perfect through your system because its built in and your tv too, but external hardware such as the wii, cable or satelite boxes will need to be plugged into your system externally using audio cables (the red and white one) you should see at the back of your box an "AUX" port for the system to recieve auxilliary audio from others then you simply change the setting on your system to output that through the speakers instead, you may need to get a different cable for example a converter from audio cables to a jack, this would mean you could plug in your ipod and stuff to the system too but most importantly your system may not have an audio cable aux it may have a 3.5mm jack so you would need to output from your cable using the scart cable and at the end of that scart you should have red white and yellow plug your able to this using a female-female adapter and then into your system, hpe ive helped, sorry if it seems abit confusing its not really :D
