I have a question about my car, will it be written off after accident?

A guy crashed into me on Saturday, and has admitted fault. I just spoke with the garage who informed me that the cost to repair will be £4,000. My car is worth £5,000 according to the insurance company and the garage. Will the insurance co. get it repaired or write it off? I hope its the latter

I have got gap insurance, so as it is within the 3 years of me buying it I will get the full price back I paid for it. I just wanted to know if it is likely to be written off...........
