I have avi files that I need to put on a dvd that can be played in any...

...portable dvd....help? I am used to burning files to dvd's and have never had any problem with playback however, I made a disk for someone and they cannot play it in their portable dvd player. Have no idea what files they can actually play but would it be able to play an iso file? What type do I need to use so they can play the disk?

If you've been using NTSC, use PAL or MIXED.
Your friend most likely has a DVD player that's not
compatible with the setting you normally use.

use a dvd maker that burns DVDs, you cant just write the file to a DVD. You can use windows DVD maker that will make the disk playable on any DVD player. this is a program offers on windows 7 computers only although you could find a third party software on the internet. hope this helps :)
