i have buy i new sony heme theater but the problem is i cant hear 5.1 because my dvd player has only slot for RCA cables and one hdmi. So what gonna i do is an experiment some people tells that hdmi is also produce 5.1 sound. So friends is it possible i connect my LCD through VGA in my graphic card and Connect graphic card and DVD player through hdmi. My graphic card has both vga and hdmi i know it is very foolish but tell friend does it work. display from vga and sound from Hdmi i am doing this for 5.1 surround sound does this experiment work or not
vga for display and hdmi for audio instead of rca cables

As far as i know those HTIB can operate one at once and HDMI can transfer both video and 5.1 audio if your file is of 5.1 surround sound
hope my answer matches your question.

Don't understand your question. Are you trying to use your DVD player as an amplifier by connecting other devices to it? You can't because it has no inputs. Only DVD's will give you surround sound
