gained while quitting smoking.? I have never really had a weight issue, but since quitting have gained 15 lbs. The whole eating healthy confuses me and I find myself not eating at all to avoid eating the wrong things, which I know isn't healthy. I want this to be a life style change as well as getting back to a healthy weight. Could someone please tell me if what I am doing is ok? I spend 25 mins. on a elliptical in the mornings, grab a banana's for breakfast. Usually eat a sweet potatoe for lunch and a salad for dinner. I have cut out soda all together and am drinking as much water as I can. I snack on apples and peanut butter if I snack at all.... I guess I would like to know I am doing things right. Like I said not only to loose this weight but to be healthy again.

That always happens i can't tell you why though but when you quit smoking you gain weight hints why im not going to give up lol.

Ok no eating a banana for breakfast sin't good,You need a big meal for breakfast because thats whats gets your metobalism going and if you maobilism isnt going you can't lose weight.I recommend porrige/oats or don't know if you've heard of it 'Special K' ? its good nd healthy cereal designed for helping with weight loss

A sweet patato for lunch?!?! No have a sweet patato and some tomatos and lettuce aswell give you some protein it wont make you gain more weight eating those on the side.

For dinner you just having a salad well i would have salad but sme chicken chunks on it aswell because you need to have some meat you know for vitamins etc.

And if you want to lsoe weight and be healthy you need tokeep your vitamins,protein etc. up ok

add a bowl of whole grain cereal for breakfast(oatmeal)cup no fat milk
add carbs for lunch 2slice whole wheat tuna sandwich
dinner add lotsa veggies brown rice some protein

read label on foods for values, but you NEED to eat at least 3 full meals a day to lose weight.
