It sounds like it will come out but it just gets stuck. The ps3 is fine and fully works except for the disk getting stuck. Is there a way to get it out and still be able to use the ps3? this is my second one in 2 years. The other stopped because of ylod light. Please help.

Disks get stuck in my ps3 slim sometimes too. I've been told that holding the eject button down will force the disc to come out..but I have another method of doing it lol.

Press and hold the eject button on the system. It should eject. This forces the ejection tray to move forward. If the disc still hasn't ejected after the 10 seconds, then it's a problem inside the ROM, or the ejection tray is being blocked/malfunctioned. In this case, it'll require dissemblance and a diagnostic. For this, I recommend taking it to either Sony, or a local electronics store, the reason being that disassembling the system yourself voids the warranty (if active) and Sony will not replace, repair, or refund any parts or the system. If you're the tinkering type however, and don't have an active warranty and/or don't care, you can dissassemble the system yourself. If you go with this, keep in mind not to report it to Sony, as removing parts from the system violates several agreements, and although doubtful, they could take legal action. As before, the problem is in the ROM. Remove the external frame and go for it, it's large and silver. There is a thin wire on the bottom connecting it and the HDD, DON'T PULL ON THIS. It is extremely fragile and difficult to replace. Simply slide it out, and lay it down. Then dissassemble the ROM and remove any obstructing items, align the tray yourself, or just use your findings to report it when your turn the system in for repair/inspection. Good luck and I hope I helped.
