I made a big mistake - my husband and I were arguing?

and I told him I didn't love him anymore.
now he says if I don't love him we should get divorced.
We've been married over 20 years and have 5 kids,
and I don't think getting a divorce is the right thing,
But how can I get my love back for him? It's torture
being married to someone you don't love.

Let him go.
You think this isn't torture for him?
If you really don't love him, let him go find someone who does. Anything else is cruel for both of you.
Once love dies, it stays dead. Acting the part won't make it real.

if you don't love him, getting divorced is the right thing regardless of how many kids you have or how many years you've been together.

Try counseling first....try spicing up your marriage.
If it doesn't help after trying everything then divorce just may be the right thing to do. We have one life to live....don't live it unhappily.
Also, maybe it's a fase...make sure you've thought of everything before making such a bid decision.

If everyone who didnt love their partner anymore after 20 years got divorced, there would be almost no long-term marriages.

Suck it up for your kids sake.

you owe it to him for the love that you did have
to set him free
so he may find someone who will love him for the rest of his life.

With five kids you might consider getting together with him and talking to some older and wiser people who may have been down that road themselves.

blurting things out that you don't mean isn't right either..
perhaps this is a good thing for both of you..
sometimes the right thing isn't the thing you want but in the long, would be best for everyone

-how did you manage to spend 20 yrs and birth 5 kids with someone you didn't love
