...Morocco? I know that the dvd over in Europe/ Morocco read different than the ones here. I really want to get my daughter movies from here but they will not play over there. So what should I do??

A. Just by her a dvd player when I go to Morocco and find a web site where I can order the disk for her and send them? If I do this I KNOW her dad will use it more for him self.

B. get her a portable dvd player her in America and the plug out let so she can use it there, this way her father can not use it for himself and if he does use it all he can watch is kid movies and cartoons I send her.

I really want to send her christmas movies for teh holidays thats why I want to do it. So is there anyway I can find Christmas movies translated into French or maybe I can order them from Lebanon in Arabic?

There is software you can buy that allows you to copy a dvd and remove the regional settings. I did that and brought movies there and they work just fine. You pay maybe 50$ for the software and you can copy as many dvds as you want, I go to a rental place for the movies so I don't have to buy them. It comes cheaper then buying the whole kit.

Hey S,

the movie industry divided the world into DVD regions codes to avoid new movies released in the US for example to be viewed in Europe pr Asia...
there is also the issue of the US being NTSC on DVDs and the rest of the world using the PAL system.

Morocco, the US and Lebanon are in 3 different region codes so if you get French Christmas movies from Lebanon, they wouldn't probably work on a Moroccan or a US DVD player. It's a mess!!

What you could do is get her the Christmas movies you want. Have a DVD shop in Morocco burn those movies into blank Moroccan DVD disks. You would need a local DVD player purchased in Morocco. Then give her the burned DVDs in the original box.

Ebay has some Christmas movies in french but not a lot of choice. Not sure where you can get Christmas movies in Arabic.
