I really cannot beleive that in modern times people still chose religion over...

science is not and cannot be our only source of knowledge. While it does answer questions about the natural world, science cannot answer moral and theological questions (e.g. who are we? where do we come from? Does God exist? what is good? what is bad?). This is where Philosophy and Theology come in. ;-) God bless!

...science.? agree or disagree, still answer

I can't understand how ppl dismiss things like evolution, for an unproven end ultimately made up theory of Adam and eve (this is just an example)
*unproven and ultimately
ummmmm excuse me, evolution is a theory like i said so it is supported by facts but not totally proven. Any religion on the other hand could've started with a rich person hallucinating and starting a religion bcuz they thought they heard god (btw this did happen in many civilizations)

Yeah, I know what you mean. People still believe in the religion of Darwinism, despite all the mountains of evidence that we were created. Of course, I don't like religion, just a relationship with our creator. I'm glad you are being rational these days.

the great thing about evolution is that it's proven fact until it's disproved. than further experiments are made.

creationism (later disguised as "intelligent design" so they can sneak religion into classrooms and sound scientific ROFL) is ANTI-science. it hinders research by saying "the feature of this organism is too complex. God did it. Leave it alone".

They're morons! They don't want to think or ignore reality. instead, dwell on myth and unproven fairy tales.

ID is not even worth 10 minutes in a lab or classroom. it's fairy tale and makes America look foolish.

I choose truth...the truth that is in Science I stick with ...ie. Law of Thermodynamics, etc

As for religion..I reject religion as a set of rules made up by men.

I accept the Truth that Jesus Christ embodies...Science supports the truth that is mentioned in the Bible.

Just as evolution can not be proven by witness neither has creation of the world been witnessed..Sorry but both require faith...I choose Christ...

We will all know for sure one way or the other when we die....I think He will be shown as rock solid and verifiable.

Science is a modern-day religion. There is no evidence for Evolution, just a lot of assumptions that they all lump together and claim it all makes sense.

This is very true. Religion does not claim to be scientific, but i disagree. In my humble opinion, i believe that people just couldnt say i dont know and had to make up stories about how the world came to be and then it evolved into a way to control the masses. But then there are some questions that can never be answered and the simplest way to explain them are, "god did it"
And i have no problem with that. Why does it matter how the universe was created? its calming to except that god did it. Its calming to accept the existance of god. I dont believe that god is so horrible that he flooded the world or asked abraham to kill his son, i believe that god is fair and just. And as long as you live your life right you will go to heaven.
So there is a happy middle. You can have faith in God aswell as accept science

Agree. It scares me to think that so many people really believe in what a book says. I would be ashamed (utterly ashamed) to call the God of the Bible my god. He lies (oh he does), is unjust, has differing personalities throughout the bible, and full of blood lust. Why on EARTH does a god require animal sacrificing? God of the Bible needed it, oh yes he did, up until Jesus that is. Why does a god, a god that created you, and coincidentally enough the blood of your animals, need you to sacrifice those animals? We need to pass the god myth and move on as a race. No god or savior is going to save us. Stop being separated, admit we were wrong, there is no god, and get together as a people like we should be and live like we really can.

i don't see that as being a bad thing... people want to believe in something that gives them reason, hope, motivation, and comfort.... and i don't see scientific proof or theories ever changing that. .

I hasten to point out that evolution is a theory... which means it is also unproven. Science and religion don't have to be mutually exclusive. But that doesn't mean that all scientific theories are true.

In the 19th century, a French scientist published a list of 100 scientific facts. Today, every one of his facts has been rejected by science. They were disproved by further research. So science isn't a replacement for religion or faith. It is a wonderful tool, but it makes mistakes, and needs correcting when new evidence is uncovered.
