...far. I have my directv hddvr and? ps3 hooked up to it via hdmi cords. Now the advertised refresh rate on the tv is 120 hz as you can see at this link..http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LN55C650-55-Inch-1080p-Black/dp/B0036WT3TS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1304190132&sr=8-1...however, when I hit the info button on the tv remote in the upper left hand corner its gives me some basic specs info and it says the following: 1920 x 1080i @ 60hz...I have checked everything via the menus and nothing...I know this tv has auto motion plus to help with fast moving scenes and what not..however I know many have said to have this turned off. So...does anyone know what I need to do to have it run at 120 hz or is it already doing so and I am just over analyzing? Thanks for any help!

Your tv will always run at it's native resolution and hz rate. Any info you see on the screen is showing you what signal is being SENT to the tv. It will take any incoming signal and upconvert it to 1080p, 120 hz. The auto motion plus is another setting, which you can turn on/off or adjust as desired, it's not the 120 hz.

If it is saying 1920x1080i @ 60Hz on the screen then that means that is the resolution and refresh rate of whatever is being displayed at the time. Chances are, DirecTV's HD picture isn't even being broadcast to you at a 120 Hz refresh rate. It's probably only 60 Hz. Same with the PS3. I'm not sure, but I don't think the PS3 output is higher than 60 Hz. 120 Hz and above is a newer technology in TV's and most devices and TV service providers are not yet broadcasting images at the refresh rate. Most likely, you will only see refresh rates of 120 Hz and higher on new Blu-Ray players playing Blu-Ray discs. Hope this helps.
