I renamed a file while downloading from torrent?

I was downloading an .avi file and paused it for a while. I decided I wanted to rename it and after I hit start downloading again, two files appeared in the folder (one with the old name and one with the new name). What can I do in this situation, even though it says I have downloaded the file in its entirety, none of the files are complete.
