at first i thought it was a short gator.. it looked like a 5 foot long mud puppy real big and thick like an otter but we dont have otters around here. it was swimming at the top of the water liek a turtle does or a snake maybe then i moved it saw me and dove it had a long body bout as big around as a basket ball and was 4-6 feet long. head looked liek a turtle it had a flat tail like like a beaver. it looked to be like an eel nothin but a head and a flat tail. if it had fins or feet they were TINY or tucked below it it looked like a giant overgrown mud puppy. how big do those things get. if anyone knows what it is or how i can find out plz let me know thank you.
