are people expected to survive? I want to own a dog, but will have to work full time. The thing is, EVERYONE has to work. How is it even possible to own a dog let alone owning or renting somewhere where it can live without working full time?
I would walk the dog in the morning and in the evening and spend pretty much all of my time out of work with it, taking it with me for everything. Would having a walker come in at lunch time help, or even having a boarder who does shift work or similar and can spend more time with it during the day? Also, while it is alone, where shall I let it stay? In a kennel, inside?

Would a low energy or small breed be best? I could settle for a cat but I've dreamed of owning a dog my whole life
