I think I injured my mcl from running while it heals is riding a bike a good

alternative? Well After much research It seems i injured my mcl, After running for months without rest. So I dont injure myself i need to let it heal. But Is riding a bike a good alternative for lets say the next 2 days? I usually run about 4.5 miles So how far should I ride a bike? Because I NEED TO WORK OUT.
Please Serious answers only.
Im stressing out.
 
first i'm sorry for the injury.
riding a bike is a good alternative sometimes, only when it doesn't injured really bad. if it was really bad or serious, you'd better go to a doctor and ask for help and suggestions. if it's not very serious, riding can be a good alternative. don't ride too long. 4.5 miles is too much a long way for you when you just got yourself injured. i suggest 2 miles for the first day ride, and add every 0.5 mile by days.
