question? i want to buy a 2001 dodge ram 1500 with 94000 miles it has a 5.2 V8 im 17 and dont have a ton of money. how can i improve gas mileage on it to get atleast 15 in the city? is this a good buy and do u know if there are any problems i will run into soon? i have always wanted a truck and might be getting it but i dont want to get something that will die with in the next 5 years i need it to commute and hour a day to college in a year

If you can pay for the gas, then that seems like a pretty good deal on the truck.
You said you have always wanted a truck, so look at the Ford Ranger or the Chevy S10.
Those are both smaller trucks.

there's no way to tell for sure but one with that low of miles on it shouldn't give to many problems,the best thing you can do for it to get good fuel mileage from it is keep it tuned up really good,there's not to many add on parts that will actually improve the fuel mileage of it,many claim to help you on fuel mileage but regular maintenance is the best thing for keeping it running good and getting good fuel mileage,i own an 01 with 5.2 in it and i can get around 19 on the highway with it and around 15 in the city with it,good luck.
