So I have a gateway FX6800-01E. I want to connect it to my home theater system (Yamaha: HTR5935) for awesome Battlefield:3 audio rapeage.

My computer doesn't have a coaxial slot, only stereo output it seems. What I intend to do is buy an external Sound card (any recommendations?) and connect to my home entertainment system from that. The thing is I'm not exactly sure how. I've been reading a lot about S/PDIF connections on the USB/Audio cards, but I'm not sure if my home theature supports this? I don't know where to plug the S/PDIF in if it does. Would it go into the coaxial?

My Home theater doesn't have an HDMI port, otherwise I would just do that.. much easier.

If all else fails can I connect my computer to my TV via HDMI and then my TV to my home theater via coaxial and play sound through that? xD

Thanks for the advice!
