i watched Black Swan last night, did i miss something?

I understood the movie fine, just i dont get what the big deal about it was. It was no better than your average late night movie on showcase.

I did like the scene with natalie and mila, but is that all it takes to win best picture nowadays?

academy awards is a popularity contest.. film was at its best in the 50s and 60s in Europe and Asia, then it went down hill from there.
