If hear-say is good enough for religion, why not as evidence in court of law?

It's funny how some people swear in on a holy book, yet turn around and say that hear-say is not proof of a crime...but proof of a religions validity??
 
Very well stated. Although I believe in what the bible stands for, I also believe that all of it is hear-say. It is all stories that were handed down from one person to another and re-written over time to suit the needs of the religious rulers at the time. Unless is is the actual writings of God, it is all hear-say. But it gives us all something to believe in no matter what religion or what they call the "word of God"
