Hey guys.
I just got a new laptop for Christmas and I was wondering:
If I download all of my iTunes onto CD's (all of my songs are from Limrewire & a Youtube Downloader) and then download them to my new laptop if it will effect it (put virus' on it or slow it down & etc)
If it will mess up my laptop, do you have any alternatives to getting free music that is safe and can put on your iPod? Thanks! :D

It depends on if they were already infected. I recommend that you scan them with your anti virus software. If you don't have one then here's a link to a free one

I they don't have viruses in the first place then they're safe to go onto your new computer. I suggest you get a antivirus/firewall program if you don't already own one.

Hope I helped ;)

The best thing to do right now is use a virus scanner and check all of them. But if you plan on safely downloading more music, it's more a matter of knowing what to download and what is a fake. Sometimes you can just tell, mainly by if it's a strange file type other than .mp3 or if it's only 500kb or something. Use a torrent like utorrent and download things offline i find this easier and safer, although im sure some people have managed to download viruses on accident

Bearshare works too. But here's my idea. Download an antivirus, NORTON 2010(free trial works). then put your songs on your comp and SCAN your comp for viruses and see
