If I get upgrade to an iphone, will i be able to keep the progress for my games?

I have an ipod touch and i'm thinking of upgrading to an iphone 4. I have LOTS of games and are pretty far in them. If I sync my old apps to my new iphone, will it have the progress saved? If not, id there a way to do so. Thanks :)
